Residential Projects

Beach House Renovation
A minimalist design keeps clutter at bay in this 700 square foot renovation that included renovating the single bath, bedroom, living area, and kitchen. Swatches of color dispersed throughout the interior bring punch and focus to the original paneling. Various shades of yellow link the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Rancho San Yacinto
This small ranch, on a 20-acre site in California's Santa Ynez Valley, includes a 2,800 square foot house and farm outbuildings, incuding a guest house and studio, a cabana, and a barn. The project is currently in design development.

Hill Road
I designed this 2,375 square foot residence to complement, rather than compete with the surrounding natural beauty of the community. In that spirit, siting, composition, materials, views, detail and light were studied to create a home that reflects the credo of the classical architect Vitruvius: "Commodity, firmness and delight."

Lake Washington House
The task was to renovate this mid-century post and beam structure on Lake Washington in Bellevue, WA. While dated, the house boasted "good bones." Hence, I opted to retain much of the original structure, updating it with contemporary colors, textures, and materials.
